A recording for the Vaults Bar virtual session – I’m playing along with Mark’s violin track/recording from the previous week. The tune was popularised by english band Rosbif in the 1980’s, but this is not it’s original name, which was lost in the mist of time. They collected it from French musician Philippe Krumm.
Another lock down video, played on Horsefair Green in Stony Stratford
[[[ For those in the future, it’s currently June 2020, and social distancing is in place! No playing together indoors – the only way we can play together is outside. ]]]
I’m on a Castagnari Mory melodeon in D/G, and Mark’s on a … violin.
A slowed down version of the Dorset 4 Hand Reel played on melodeon and violin by myself and my friend Mark Prescott. A spur of the moment recording to see what we could do with it, and for uploading as my contribution to melodeon.net’s tune of the month for April 2019.
I’m playing a Castagnari Mory in D/G; Mark’s playing… um, a violin!
Mark and I play as a duo, Vivant – our website is here: www.vivantmusic.co.uk
