Roslin Castle

Roslin Castle is a lovely traditional Scottish Air. I’m playing all the parts of this pseudo string quartet arrangement. No video with this one, so there are some photos courtesy of a few anonymous instragram users – thank you very much, whoever you are!

Vedder Michel

A traditional German tune, which I hear as a polka. A fast, somewhat crazy polka.

Melodeon.net’s tune of the month for June 2015, played on a Hohner Lucia D/G converted melodeon.

Kathleen

This lovely tune was written some time ago by Kathryn Tickell, northumbrian piper. I think it was on a long out of print Kathryn Tickell Band album from the 1990’s, but don’t quote me! Written by Kathryn in honour of her mother apparently.

Recorded as a slow air for Melodeon.net’s theme of the month for June 2015. Played on a Castagnari Mory in D/G.

Coroare

This lovely tune was composed by Chris Wood and appears on his long out of print CD with Andy Cutting, ‘Lisa’. Every bit as good as the more well known Mrs Saggs, and deserves to be played more I think.

Part of melodeon.net Theme of the Month for June 2015, Slow airs – played on a Castagnari Mory in D/G.
