Theme of the month for January 2015 is ‘Tunes with no name’, and here we have a tune learned off the playing of Sam Sweeney and Rob Harbron – never heard this before, and no idea where it’s come from, or what it’s called. It’s shaped like a morris jig, but it also has a quirky edge that Quebecois stuff often has.
Played on a Hohner Preciosa in Bb/Eb.
Thanks to Sam Sweeney in the comments below; this is identified as ‘Down to the Beach’, written by Rob Harbron. What a tune.
