A little attempt at the wonderful tune by Naragonia, “Alio” – been trying to learn this tune for years, but the melodeon.net Tunes from Europe theme has given me the impetus to do something about it. Nowhere near as nice as Naragonia’s original of course, and nothing like the level of improvisation they can use, but I’m pleased with myself for getting this far with it. Keep practicing!

Played on a Hohner Preciosa in Bb/Eb (that triangle on the video is the edge of the table; oops!)

Princess Royal

A new version of Princess Royal played for Melodeon.net’s tune of the month feature. Somewhere in my channel of videos, is another version of this, recorded 5 years ago. I wonder how the way I play it has changed?

This is one of the minorised versions, played on a Bb/Eb Hohner Preciosa on the inner row, so it comes out in F minor.
